The 2011 Nissan Lineup: Charting the Changes
The arrival of the 100% electric 2011 Nissan LEAF? ushers in a new era
for Nissan and a new era for mobility. As a pure electric vehicle
designed for affordability and real-world requirements, LEAF stands to
be as much of a milestone vehicle for Nissan as the original Datsun 510,
240Z or Hardbody compact pickup - vehicles that changed the course of
their respective segments.
Yet LEAF is not the only important, all-new model arriving at Nissan
showrooms in 2011. First up is the dramatic new Nissan JUKE? sport
cross, featuring bold, motorsports-influenced styling inside and out -
plus the first North American application of Nissan's new 1.6-liter
Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG?) Turbo engine and advanced torque
vectoring AWD system. JUKE will be available in fall 2010.
Then in early 2011, the stylish Nissan Quest mini-van arrives -
re-thought, re-imagined and re-energized. And finally, the 2011
calendar year sees Nissan's entry into the commercial vehicle market,
starting with the 2012 Nissan NV.
The 2011 model year is also the 25th anniversary year for another iconic
Nissan, the groundbreaking Nissan Pathfinder SUV - an event celebrated
with a special 25th Anniversary Edition model. And, there are important
enhancements to many other 2011 Nissan models. Following is a brief
overview of the changes, refinements and enhancements to the complete
2011 Nissan lineup. Full information and specifications on each vehicle
will be available, as always, closer to each model's on-sale date.
